{Grace Café}

The story:

A few months ago, Beck at Beck Far From Home commented on one of my posts that if we lived close, she would call me for a cup of coffee. In the same thread, Joan at The Beauty in His Grip also said that it would be wonderful to get together. Those comments caused me to think, why not get together for a virtual cup of coffee? Thus the idea for the Grace Café was born.

We can all use a little encouragement in our lives. Being a Christian does not make us exempt from life’s problems. Along the way, we might have broken relationships. Some of us have unsaved family members or have those who have gone astray that we are praying for. Others may be facing financial problems, unemployment or a major illness. Still others are grieving over the death of a loved one. In John 16:33 Jesus said, “I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”

There are also times when we are overcome with His joy and can’t wait to share with others what He has done in our lives. Grace Café  is for those times also.  I am often encouraged in my Christian walk when I hear the testimonies of others. After all, it is all about Jesus and His glory and grace!

The Link Up:

Each Thursday, I invite you to link up at the Grace Cafe (link and new post will be available on Wednesdays by 8:00 p.m. Central Time). To participate, simply write your post, link to the Grace Cafe, then come back here and enter your permalink. There are few rules – as long as your post brings glory to God. It can be a testimony, a song, a devotional, or a photo or video. You never know when your post might be just the encouragement someone else needs.

So grab a cup of coffee (or a glass of iced tea) and  join me each week.

    Hi Joan – I will definitely be linking up with you on thursdays. I ;ove the new site. Do you have a special thursday link button? otherwise, I’ll just use your normal blog button. I don’t seem to be picking up your posts so I’m going to unfollow and refollow. That solved the problem on another blog that moved. Love linking up with you
    God bless
    Tracy

    Hi Joan,
    Liked the title of your site Reflections of His Grace. Something I write in the cover of my book: Spiritual Abuse Recovery, is: It is all by God’s wonderful grace! I agree with you that there are many people who are stuck, stalled, and confused in their Chrisitian lives. Legalism takes its toll. I have just been rereading the Book of Galatians. Love what Paul said. Bottom line: “It is for freedom that Christ has set us free.” Gal. 5:1 I invite you and others to drop in to my website: http://www.ChurchExiters.com and have a look around. All the best! A new pal, Barb

      Hi Barb – Galatians 5:1 is one of my life verses. The freedom we have in Christ is unsurpassed.

      I’m glad you stopped by for a visit.
